About Kelsey
I’m Kelsey Wegner Hurlburt. I’m a stay-at-home mom, resource-coordination-enthusiast, and Air Force spouse living in the Kaiserslautern Military Community, Germany.
I have my Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and have lived many places, but call Boston home. My husband and I have one daughter, whom we’ve been calling Squiggles since birth.
My enthusiasm for coordinating resources comes from my experience in a wide variety of helping roles – as a Resident Assistant for first years at Drew University, an Employment Consultant at Best Buddies Massachusetts, a Mental Health therapist for students in Calvert County, Maryland schools and multiple other opportunities. I have always seen the missing piece between the resources that are available and the resources people are not utilizing or not sure how to utilize. I am so excited to be able to provide those pieces to others going through a new, unique, or challenging situation.
I created this blog to share the resources I’ve created and organized. I have always believed the adage that knowledge is power. The more information we have, the better prepared we can be to support and help ourselves and our families. I am here to provide you with that information, so that you can use it to make your life easier.
I would also be happy to research any topic in the realm of parenting a child with special needs, women’s mental health, the military lifestyle, or other related topic — please just leave a comment of what you’d like to know more about. This is a working website and I am a working resource navigator. I am here to help. Thank you for visiting Resources by Kelsey.
